yep im the insano mom that decided she could wrap 30 juice boxes in foil to make them look like presents for the class party :) pretty snazzy huh?!

this was one of the gift baskets i gave to mareks teachers. she is just amazing and i feel so lucky that mareks first experience with a teacher is an outstanding one

this was mareks christmas program...he had so much fun singing and dancing next to one of his best buds! i so felt like a mom that morning :)

what a way to start my day...

well ive only been up since about 3 am...cant sleep. dont know if its all the stuff i have to do keeping me up or what. but i just popped up out of bed like it was 9 am. so i decided that im up for the day. i got talked into working on my day off ** gag** im such a sucker. oh and i got jb weld on one of my fave shirts already today. i guess thats what i get for trying to craft at 4am! haha lets hope the rest of my day goes slightly better!

oh and heres what im listening to right now...old but just so so so good!

every year i try to buy at least 1 new ornament for my tree. this one i found at target and im in LOVE with it...how cool would it be to put the kids wishlists in there year after year and see how they change?!?

'tis the season

....for complete and total PANIC!!! this is what im feverishly working on day and nite now...well actually 4 of these :) i know im nuts but its like a group project. im taking old recipes from an old relative that apparently was an AMAAZIMG cook and putting it all together in a collection for the family. none of the boxes are EXACTLY the same either so that makes it a little more difficult. ill post pics of the recipe cards later...they are pretty cute if i do say so myself :)

organized chaos...or just chaos??

ya so this is my kitchen table as of right now.and if you know me you know i function best when things are a bit unorganized :) haha there are several things going on on this table.....
*my christmas cards in 2 piles--1 with addys and 1 without
*halloween pictures that im trying to scrap
*christmas ornament project that i did with marek and phoebe this weekend that im trying to finish up
*marek's school pix that i have YET to hand out to everyone
*my christmas recipe box project is buried under there ...somewhere
*oh ya and my laundry is drying on the chair in the corner

so at this time im wondering...is this remotely considered orgaized chaos or just a flat chaotic mess?!?! im leaning toward mess
i think its time for an intervention :)

this goes to my secret pal...i really really hope she likes it...cuz i sure do! haha there are a few spots on it that definately show its "homemade" but other than that i think its pretty cool. oh and dont mind the mess on the table in the background.,...it was a late nite :)

my new mantra

ya i might seem like a total slacker but ive decided not to do christmas cards this year...they just dont seem important. like im missing the driving fire to do them (like i ever had a "driving fire" anyway--haha) and this saturday is my birthday extravaganza....supposed to be 72hrs of uninterrupted bliss (which means no kids and spoiling me!) but breakfast with santa is sat morning. im just not sweating the small stuff you know--maybe its the prozac! haha or maybe its just my new view on life...either way im a much happier person. no christmas cards and all....oh and was linked up to this awesome inspiration by shellys blog. official birthday countdown...

this time of year is so busy i almost forget that my birthday is crammed in there! so the official count is 10 days---feel free to get me something :) haha and because ive been asked how old i am like 96 times since ive started my new job (which is SOOOO rude btw) ill just put it like this---im legal, can drink, and have a kindergardner. hope that solves the mystery! haha ohh and happy turkey day everyone!

BLACK FRIDAY!!!

 

ok ya im slightly excited about one of the biggest shopping days of the year. but this year is especially killer. me and my "person" jen get to spend the ENTIRE weekend together with NO KIDS (or any other interested parties) just US!!! i think the last time that actually happened was like 5 or 6 years ago. and ya shes preggo again (i swear its in her water) so we cant get too wild and crazy but just the idea of no diaper changes, no breaking up fights, no trying to plan outtings around naptimes just sounds like PARADISE!!! plus its the one time a year where we get all strategic about shopping...we go into it like its a military mission. we stay up talking the entire nite before, not on purpose it just happens, and then at about 3:00am we decide to head out and start standing in line (with the proper amt of caffeine of course)and this year we actually get to AVOID the dreaded toys r us!! this is just gonna be THE greatest weekend of my life (ok well maybe not of my life...but the greatest weekend ive had in awhile anyway)

i wish i had gotten more done...but isnt that always the case?? i got to use some of the whole "bought a book at hope outreach" idea. and i really had some fun in between work and being sick and stuff.

these are my 2 awesome thrift store finds...i love thrift stores! i could go every single day!! anyway the first "thing" is like a fruit basket sculpture deal--and i know most everyone will think its ugly but for some reason the uglier something is the more i love it!! PLUS i only paid 10 CENTS for it!! seriously how can you beat that?!?!?! then i found my rad little bag/purse for a buck fitty! love love love!!! doing that yesterday TOTALLY made my day :)
