scrappy weekend

didnt get alot done this weekend but i did manage to play with some new basic grey--didnt think id like it much but i LOVE IT!! hope you like the pipe cleaner heart--- i cut my finger with my scissors while making it, so i literally put my blood sweat and tears into my art! haha

weekend update

soooo we had the garage sale this weekend instead of last weekend--and boy did it every pay off!!! the weather was the most perfect garage sale weather EVER! a little cool, not windy or rainy, but bright and sunny :) i sold prb 3/4 of my scrappin stuff that i set out...not too bad i think. AND i had some girl buy every single sheet of my scrappin paper!!! (sorry shelly!) even though im COMPLETELY exhausted i think in the end it was worth it.

went scrappin yesterday too....since i was the one who did most of the garage sale work brad told me to go and scrapbook and he would work the sale----and who am i to argue with logic like that?!?! :) such a great guy! got thru thanksgiving done in phoebes book but not crazy about any of the pages i did---just glad to get them DONE! and today im goin over to my gmas house for some quality time over there. my parents dont have alot to do with them anymore (or with us for that matter) so i like to go over and visit at least once a week with the kids.

and im really hoping that i didnt totally break my foot this week. i broke it like 9 yrs ago and its been really hurting again in the same spot. its not swollen or anything so i asked "Dr. Jen" what could be wrong with it...effa-she-itus??? (i have no clue how to spell that so its done the PHONICS way! haha) she said that could be one of the things or it could just be arthritis---???? WTF???? how is that even possible in someone as young and beautiful as me!!?!?!?! :) so im gonna wait it out a few days. i really dont want to go to the dr for this.

ok so i saw these on martha's website and thought they were super cute! so i found some rad felt and made some of my own :) well they arent really mine...ill be sending these to a certain happy mailer that totally made my day ---hmmm wonder who that will be?!?!

once upon a time...

so going through my garage to get ready for the garage sale and i found this box. thought it prb had some crap in it but once i started digging i found all of this! i thought i had gotten rid of all my old ravin stuff and i was a little sad about that. i almost shrieked when i found a bag FULL of my old binkies and beads and my really fun glitter shades :) haha i found all kinds of glitter and bubbles too (ya at one time i was a candy kid!) im so glad i didnt get rid of that stuff! also found some great stuff from high school---a happy birthday banner that all of my friends signed--including brad (he did lots of the art work) and i also found a mix tape he made me a LONG time ago! that was such a great find...and then i found the anthology thing that all seniors can submit to and get published. and of course i submitted a VERY bad poem--hahaha. its so easy to get wrapped up in being the responsible adult stuff. i easily forget who i used to be. and maybe who i still am. its great to run across these little reminders though

our Easter best

there werent alot of good pictures this time around--plus it was SOO cold outside this year. but these are just a few of the fun ones i did get. i couldnt get phoebe to put down her toy cell phone long enough to get good pictures of the both of them (shes not even close to being a teenager yet!!!) haha but we had a great day. first we went to my gmas house and had an awesome lunch there then it was off to brads moms house for another late lunch...i dont think ive ate that much in my life!! carla made these killer crescent rolls made with mashed potatoes (talk about doubling up on some carbs!) and she also made this crazy italian love cake from paula dean. and i learned some family history today...i learned that sundays were reserved for certain activities and that bacon has always been popular with the Toomans. (thats as far as im willing to go with that!!) haha anyway here are my cuties in their easter best---love them to death!

the faux-hawk

for some weird reason, for the last year everytime weve gone to get mareks haircut he requests a mohawk. and the hair stylists just look at me like "are you gonna let him do this??" and of course i say "ummm no!!" well the girl who does his hair this time tried to make him happy and styled his hair into a faux-hawk---and i have to admit he looked pretty darn cute! :) these were just some fun pix of us rockin out on the couch with our new do!

we were THOSE people...

we went to an easter egg hunt yesterday at my best friends moms house. there were ALOT of people there...i think the head count ended up at 52. we had 2 different kinds of ham, 3 or 4 different scalloped potatoes, all different salads and deserts. YUMMY!! after we ate the kids all got pretty anxious and i guess phoebe could sense it or something because she had a MAJOR meltdown. pterodactyl scream and all. were used to it so it wasnt so bad---and even jen wasnt phased by the blood curdling screams that came out of my precious little girl....but most everyone elses eyes bugged out and we heard the phrase "whats wrong with her??" whispered several times. ok people there were a CRAPLOAD of kids there and if none of those kids have ever thrown a fit in their lives then you must be slippin them some valium!!! I MEAN COME ON!!! its bad enough that she does it and we are completely embarrassed when she does...but to make us feel like shes got a mental disorder is crossing the line. i admit, before i had kids, i couldnt STAND peoples kids that would freak out like that. but everyone who said anything like that yesterday had at least 2 kids with them!!! ok i guess im done ranting...so we did the egg hunt and marek had a blast---it was phoebes first one so she wasnt really sure about it...shed find and egg and just point to it--but then some other kid would come along and pick them up!! she was like one of my dads german shorthairs that would point when they found the bird my dad shot! so out of like 200 eggs she got 6. better luck next year kiddo :)

something different to look at

haha! so ive been prodded to update (im obviously not that great at this blogging thing!) and ive taken a ton of cute pix of the kids and ive scrapped alot of cute new pages but still NO CARD READER! haha --with easter right around the corner every cent goes to the baskets, dinners, pictures, new outfits, more pictures, and CANDY :) haha so maybe after the garage sale... these lovelies are my kiddose (obviously) in case youre wondering what they are doing they are looking at kitties on the computer... phoebes obsessed with kitties and her brother loves the computer so this is how they share. marek likes picking out the different kitties for her to look at. (i know say it with me "AWWWWW!" haha) and i tried something new last nite. NOOO its not what youre thinking :) haha i tried cammerons musubi. i cant even begin to describe it--but here goes...its like spam sushi. its rice and spam wrapped up in seaweed---definately not the worst thing thats ever been in my mouth! but not something im gonna have a major craving for either! and id like to give a big bloggy THANK YOU to my snail mail pal SHELLY for sending me those neato stickers...me and cammeron have fun going thru each others happy mail stash to see what the other is getting--and we definately had fun scrappin last nite :) but next time i hope she leave the musubi out! :)
