dance for your life...

so ive been in kinda a funk lately...hence the emo, melancholy music on the side bar (well some of it anyway)it kinda feels good to wallow in it for awhile---now its just trying to snap out of it! :) i know ive been showing alot of this crazy dance stuff but that was such a HUGE part of my life and ive been so far removed from it for so long that it feels comfortable emersing myself in it a bit again. so this girl, shauna, was in the bottom 3 last week and they have a "dance for your life" segment where you have like 30 seconds to show the judges what you got....she definately did IMO

ok maybe its just a phase im in....but i really like this one too---the guy is primarily a b-boy and hes just adorable!! when they explained this dance they explained that he was a "creature-like man" and the girl was a "bird" (ya i know but its a form of modern dance---they get a little weird with it sometimes) anyway i dont really get the whole bird thing but this whole thing is about men and women and how they relate and compliment each other. or it could just be something pretty to look at! haha

 

 

just some more easter pages im trying to get done...all for phoebe's book this time. my mojo has kinda been on sabaticle for about a month and these are like 2 of the pages ive done lately that i actually kinda like :)

wendy and cammeron's adventures in the ER

so me and cammeron went to the ER last nite...no not just cuz we were bored--but because she has this AWFUL nagging heartburn issue that just wont seem to go away (like a bad case of the herpes i guess...hahaha) anyway while we are sitting there, a security guard swears he knows cammeron from somewhere...and its SOOOO awkward and obvious that hes hitting on her! in the ER!! i had a major hard time keeping a straight face the whole time...and he said he recognized her from MYSPACE!! gag...

another lesson i learned last nite... momma always said to wear clean underwear...you just never know whats gonna happen... thats ALL IM GONNA SAY!!! hahaha

i bet the er people thought we were crazy. we were just cracking up the whole time.. but it was either that or pass out cold in the room...we got done from there at about 130 and then we went to walgreens where i proceeded to treat the poor night pharmacist to my karaoke rendition of Heart's song "ALONE" and got into a indepth discussion of condoms while we waited for the script (just to clarify---the conversation was with cammeron not the nite pharmacist!)

hey cam that was super fun---well have to do it again sometime! haha :)

my sad little attempt at funk

 

i love the funky style that so many scrappers seem to have now (yes shelly im talking about YOU!) haha its just hard for me to wrap my brain around. anyway im expanding my horizons and stepping outside my comfort zone to try something new. since my resident funkster (cammeron) was away for the weekend i was on my own with this one :) it was kinda fun to just let go and not really stress about stuff perfectly matching. maybe ill try it again sometime with some supervision!

goosebumps

so the results show was tonite...and the 2 that i thought shouldve been kicked off were. they werent bad technically (actually the guy was PHENOMENAL technically) but their performance last nite didnt have the "thing"...no chemistry. and their solos tonite almost just didnt make any sense...there were lots of really good dances last nite but this one almost made me cry it was just BREATHTAKING...so enjoy this little piece of art :)

never a dull moment...

so i get a call this morning at 8:04am from cammeron.

C- "how do you get vaseline off?"
W- "ok who tagged your car???" (chuckling to myself)
C- "NOOOOO chloe got into the vaseline and its ALL OVER HER BODY!!!!!"
W- " HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhA" ummm ok lemme google it

so i googled it and some really crazy stuff popped up (obviously, were talking about uses of vaseline!!) but since she was like in FULL PANIC MODE i didnt have time to deviate from my task at hand :) and she was really worried about getting it out of her hair. so i ran across this HOW TO and thought it was pretty good info---you know just in case it ever happens to YOU :)

1. Take a dry towel and try to remove as much of the Vaseline as possible. (You will probably not be able to remove much of it.)
2. Pack cornstarch into all the affected areas of your hair. Because cornstarch clumps together, it will stay in your hair.
3. Take a hot shower and remove the cornstarch with your regular shampoo.
4. Towel off your hair. You will most likely still feel the Vaseline in your hair.
5. Rinse your hair with very hot water.
6. Take a shower with hot water but instead of using your regular shampoo use dish washing soap.
7. Wash your hair twice with the dish washing soap while you are in the shower.
8. Follow up with your regular shampoo and conditioner because the dish soap may smell funny.
9. Let your hair dry. The Vaseline should be out now!

how freakin COOL is this?!?!? my happy mail partner, and FRIEND made me this AWESOME little book!! it is soooo cute i just absolutely LOVE it!! i cant wait to fill it up :) so thanks BECKY for the incredible gift and for thinking enough of me to make me something by hand!!

this guy REALLY can dance

i know some of yall know that i used to dance. i danced for like 17 yrs. so i have a special place in my heart for this crazy reality show--so you think you can dance. ANYWAY this guy is BEYOND cool....he doesnt look like much but he is just amazing to watch!! a true inspiration and will definately put a smile on your face



and i have a MAJOR MAJOR dance crush on this kid...im so happy that hes been pushed thru to the next rounds

at least from this session that is. thats what happens when you have an uncooperative little girl who doesnt like her picture taken. i dont understand that either---marek is practically a model... he LOVES getting his picture done--always has. shes a whole other monster though! the photographer definately earned her pay that day :)

where the wind comes sweeping down the plains

 

it got pretty crazy last nite around here. we woke up at about 1am to the sound of the wind trying to blow us away! there were reports of it blowing 60mph. we lost power for a bit too. this was part of the aftermath....these are the big trees in our front yard. our backyard actually looks pretty ok...it just overturned a bench and theres tree limbs and branches everywhere! good ol Oklahoma :)
