cuz its freakin funny!! watched the premier episode last nite thinking it was just gonna be a way for me to waste another 1/2 hr of my life and i noticed that it was directed by kevin smith (forrest, you might be interested in this) anyway its about this kid who finds out on his 21st bday that his parent had sold his soul to the devil and now hes his bounty hunter...tracking down fugitives from Hell. Sound interesting?!? and he sucks them back up into get this...a dirt devil hand held vac! haha definately good tv--im getting a little sick of watching all what i like to call the "slut-off"s on vh1 (rock of luv, etc) its fun but you can only take so much before you start feeling nauseus (sp??)

mareks first game was on saturday...im not sure if we won or lost but he said he had fun! haha i thought he looked super cute in his gear :)

100 years

its been 100 years since the Cherokee Strip land run. part of it came right thru our little town. every year we have a parade to commemorate that event. i know sounds kinda "blah" but its actually kinda fun to see everyone get dressed up like cowboys and all the covered wagons and stuff...and the FUNNEL CAKE!!! i love funnel cakes---great excuse to have a pile of fried pancake mix with LOADS of powdered sugar on top for breakfast :) and the kids really enjoyed the parade too...phoebe LOVED the vintage firetrucks and marek thought the bands were pretty neat.

well its official....

im an OFFICIAL soccer mom!! without the mini van of course ( gah gimme some credit! haha ) im the team assisant to the Tigers (isnt that super cute?) i cant wait for mareks first game...ive been working on getting a practice routine so we can work on dribbling and stuff in the yard. i gave marek my dads old # too....double zero. he had it on EVERY jersey he ever wore. then my sister had it on every jersey she ever wore. dad and i had always talked about passing the # down to marek when he started playing sports. and even though he prb wont be at any of the games -- i still think he would like that i gave him that #. im also an official card carrying member of the PTA. why not put the nail in the coffin right?! haha went to my first meeting the other nite and lemme just say that im really gonna have to take my "happy pills" to get thru dealing with some people. ive already been volunteered to work picture day and to be Head Homeroom Mom (whatever that is!!) sounds pretty daunting though. i thought it was extremely sad that out of approx 400 kids that only 5 (yep, 5!) actual parent showed up!!! there were more teachers that were parents there but there were only a total of about 12 people at the ENTIRE meeting (including board members). so i have a feeling that the 5 parents that are there are gonna be doing most of the work. so sad. but i guess thats how it goes

guess i should update...

since its a new month and all :) im so bad at this blog thing! lets see...marek is doing phenomenal at the school thing--his teacher is totally amazed at his reading skillz--shes working with him on some stuff...right now she thinks hes reading at a 2nd grade level!!! must have been all that great music i listened to when i was pg with him :) im so thankful his teacher is taking an actual interest in his education...makes me feel better about the whole public school thing. Phoebe got her very first real haircut the other day...SUPER CUTE!!! sorry no pictures yet ...and its almost FALL!!! i cant tell you how totally excited i am about that! its already started cooling off here a bit (just a tiny bit but it counts dangit!) cant wait for sweater season!!!
