30 is the new 20

this is something ive been kicking around for the past few months...and i totally whole heartedly believe its true. its like a rebirth in a way...a second chance..this time around you know what you want and how to get it. youve lived a little and know how to avoid the mistakes you made or apply the lessons youve learned from said mistakes. since im writing this from jens hospital room i find this esp poignant. shell be 30 on thurs. and shes been dreading it for months now (just like i was) but now i think given the current situation shes accepted it and is adjusting and coping with it. these next 10 yrs are gonna be the best of our lives ---period--the end---cuz we just wont accept any less....its time to cut the bullshit...cuz life is just too precious and too short for bullshit...shes a fighter and gonna be ok...and bc shell be ok ILL be ok...period the end :)

mind numbing

so how stinkin cute are these?! i havent been on etsy in awhile...and since its all snowy outside and i need a distraction from all the dramz goin on right now i thought id window shop a bit...super cute--cant decide between the 2!

also just an update on my girl...shes doing a bit better...still has the feeding tube in and all that..shes sitting up in a chair and got to see her babies yesterday (i could hear the excitement in her voice!) and shes stoked about our little slumber party on monday..cant say im thrilled to sleep in a chair but id sleep anywhere if it would help her out :) love her to death...keep the positive vibes flowing in her direction

what day is it?!

so im completely exhausted...got up yesterday at 4am and hauled ass down to okc to the icu burn unit to be with my bff-sister. its crazy....tubes-beeping-cords-EVERYWHERE i think she was being monitored for every function. i love her so much it kills me to see her that way. she actually got moved out of the icu yesterday though so that is a HUGE step. she still has the feeding tube but we know how to cheat that now to get it out sooner :) she is really determined to get the heck out of there to see her babies...which is a good thing..i believe a positive attitude can help heal your body--shes got another dressing change on thursday...shes really worried about it...she remembers the last one unfortunately. they think shell be in the hospital for a month maybe...were pushing for 2 wks...cuz its gotta get better from here...theres just NO other alternative....so ya i left her side for an hour yesterday to get lunch with her mom...and i got home at 10 last nite...its the last trip i can make down there until next week so she has to get better...anyway just keep her in your thoughts...shes got a long road ahead and will need smooth sailing for a bit :)

yep here i go again!

 

so i went today to fill out my update form and to see about getting enrolled for summer/fall. its like the biggest thing ever for me...to say im stoked is a SUPREME understatement. i have an appt with my advisor (i have an advisor!!!) on friday to discuss my credit hrs (bc i have alot apparently) and what i need to do etc...this is the same guy i took my human sexuality class from when i was preggers with marek! and he remembered me (awww!) so heres to new beginnings...



**also just a side note...my soul sister has been dealt a massive medical blow...please keep her in your thoughts and send good vibes her way...i love her so :) **

i cant believe for starters that its really been THAT long ago....i think this is totally cool and prb the best thing MTV has done in YEARS! being as my bday falls on WORLD AIDS AWARENESS DAY this cause is one close to my heart.

the lesson i learned today

i learned that when i walk in to phoebe's school and see 2 people in bare feet mopping the entire classroom...not to ask "did my daughter have anything to do with this?!" because more than likely the answer is yes. sigh.....
